Bye, bye to the sun and some socks ;)

DSCN1894

The sun is really low on the horizon now and this is all we can see of her where we live...

But it makes the most beautiful sunsets!! These pictures are taken around 2.30 so it ges dark early here now.

ugly socks

We've had some great weather this week, but the last couple of days the wind has been freezing cold. And living in an old house it means it gets cold on the floors... So I've made me a pair of thick socks to wear over my other wool socks ;) And I know - they are not the prettiest socks you've seen. But they keep my feet warm :)

raggsokker

I've also finished these pairs that I started kniting on way back in February... There are two pairs in men size and two in women size, and they are in my x-mas gift bag :)

  2. What amazing photos! And I don't think the socks are ugly at all! Any socks that are handmade have enough love in them to make them radiate beauty!

  4. Vakre bilder. Hos oss er det skumring ca. kl. 16.00, og det er en nydelig time med rosa skyer på himmelen. Ha en fin helg videre.

  7. I adore your socks. I'm working on a pair right now that are insanely boring and I just want to start another pair, but I'm trying to be good! Beautiful sunset. :)

  8. Can't tell you how much I enjoy your beautiful outdoor photos and stories about your family's life in Norway. So different than here in Florida. Thank you for sharing with us!

  12. I am knitting thick and not too pretty socks for everyone to wear in the barn this winter. They are beautiful in the way that they keep your feet really warm when it is freezing outside. Beautiful Sunsets.

  13. At sokkene er gode og varme er jo det viktigste. Synes det er deilig å tusle rundt i skikkelige raggsokker. De har jo sin sjarm. Så nydelige solnedganger - sjeldent å se det her sør for øyeblikket.

  15. Your photos are beautiful, but I'm afraid that I'd spend a lot of time napping if I lived in Norway during the winter. If it's dark I'm supposed to be stretched out on the couch.

  16. Warm feet are happy feet. I love the socks. The sunset is beautiful! I can't believe how early it gets dark. The sun started going down at around 3:30 in England and we were always in a panic to get things done before it got dark ;). Pretty crazy.
