Macro Monday :: Straight-Leaved Apple-Moss

Untitled

Spring is late this year and we still have lots of snow on the ground. But here and there in the forest things have started to sprout and grow despite the cold and snow. Like this moss - the Straight-leaved Apple-moss (Bartramia ithyphylla - stivkulemose in Norwegian). They are tiny tiny and very fascinating.

  2. Welcome to Nature Notes. I am thrilled to have another nature lover from Norway. I love seeing photos of other countries and their nature. This are beautiful macro photos. The moss looks like it could be very big in the photo. It has been a cold, wet spring here and a later snowfall for us. I hope we both get some warmer temperatures soon....Michelle ...
