Weekending, my favorite part of the week. A time to relax, live, love, just to be.
Joining with
Amanda.
This weekend started with the start of Easter break.
Both the kids and Hubby have ten days free :)
Friday night was spent baking rolls and
and Eirin having a sleepover.
Finishing the first
Octopus mitten.
Saturday morning started early with fresh rolls for breakfast.
Laundry smelling of crisp winter air.
Then we headed out in the great weather and played in the fresh snow
that had came during the night.
We also hiked in the forest for a good hour on our snowshoes
- Great fun!
Snowy mittens and red cheeks :)
Then a surprised visit from a friend and her kids,
so I whipped together an apple pie and served it with vanilla icecream.
Decorating our "
påskeris".
The night was spent with a chicken dinner,
unwinding a couple of skeins and casting on a pair of socks.
Finishing a
book.
This morning I and the kids woke up with runny noses and heavy heads....
After a few hours we drove to my mom
and picked Erlend up on the way after he's been on a sleepover.
Empanadas for dinner.
Feverish kids falling asleep in the car on the way home...
Hopefully we'll ride this flu over quickly,
it's not fun to be sick when you have free...
So the rest of this evening I assume will be
spent on the couch with knitting, comforting the kids
and watch tv before we go to bed early and hope we feel better tomorrow.
