Senja Familiepark

We went to Senja Familiepark on Saturday. They have lots of
animals for the kids to look at :)

At the bottom of the hill we met a gang with angora goats.

A baby goat.

They didn't pay us much attention, but when we gave them
branches with birch leaves it became crowdy at the fence.

Ludde the llama just laid and enjoyed the sun.

Endre loved the miniature pig :) We should had one..

And it's no farm without sheeps ;)

And there were rabbits. In all kinds of size and variations. Since Endre is
allergic we didn't take the chance to take one out for a cuddle...

The newest attraction in the park is this mule foal. Which was very shy.
Here she is with her mum Luna.

Lots of space to run at.

He and the shetland pony Balder loved to get dandelions from the kids.

We had a great day and will definitely come back later in the summer!

Socktober fest

It is October and that means I'm all ready for socktober fest :) You can join it on Socktoberfest Flickr group or Socktoberfest Ravelry.

And I have been so lucky that I won these Knit Picks Harmony straight needles 4mm from Monica over at Smoking Hot Needles :) They looks like candy. I actually received them last weekend, but things has been busy around here... And the little guy underneath is a reason for that.

He has been having a little cold, but on Wednesday he had trouble breathing and we ended up at the casualty clinic. The doctor just had to look at him and told us he had asthma. Because of his allergy and atopic skin he is more susceptible for asthma... So we have had some days to let this sink in and getting used to the inhaler. It is not easy for a 3 year old to understand that the inhaler make him breath better, but he is starting to accept it.

Disse var jo ment å bli samboerns, men hælen ble for trang/smal. Så da ble de mine ^^

Siden de ikke ble passelig til samboern, har jeg begynt på et par til ;) Disse strikker jeg i Opal og med en short row hæl. Den er litt for stor for meg rundt hælen, så denne kommer nok til å bli passelig.

Since they didn't fit Hubby, have I casted on a new pair ;) I'm knitting these in Opal and with a short row heel. It is a bit to loose around the heel for me, so this one got to fit him.

Jeg strikker litt på Scrolls'en min også. Og så er jo del 2 på Mystery sokkene på Socktopia kommet :) Så det blir nok mye sokke strikking i dagene som kommer.

I've knitted some on my Scrolls too. And the part 2 of the Mystery sock at Socktopia is out :) So I guess there will be a lot of sock knitting in the days to come.

Tilbake i normal gjenge / Back to normal

Eirin er begynt i bhagen igjen idag, og Endre viste ikke helt hva han skulle finne på idag han. Blir ikke det samm å leke med Erlend... Så vi har no kosa oss ute i finværet - ja vi har hatt sol og rund 20 C i dag og ^^ Men nå er det visst slutt på finværet...

Eirin has started in kindergarden again, and Endre hasen't known what to to today. It's not the same playing with Erlend... So we have enjoyed the great weahter, but it seems like the good weather is over for now...

Blir litt stusselig med bare lue, så jeg strikker sokker også :) Her er et par andre sokker med hodeskaller jeg kunne tenkt meg å strikke :)

Denne måten å strikke hæl på har jeg ikke gjort før - dutch heel. Har ikke helt bestemt meg for om jeg liker den eller ikke. Den er fin å se på, men jeg vet ikke om den kommer til å passe samboerns føtter ssom jo er litt bredere enn mine.

This way of knitting the heel have I never knitted before - dutch heel. I haven't desided yet if I like it or not. It's nice to look at, but I don't know if it will fit hubby's feet that are a bit wider than mine.

Lat og varm søndag / Lazy and warm Sunday

Vi hadde tenkt å gå tur i skogen i dag, men med 22 C slo vi det fort fra oss. Har kosa oss ute i hagen heller :) Disse blomstrene holder på å rose seg ferdig, men det stod ennå et par igjen!

We had planned for a hike today, but with 22 C we droped it. So instead we have been enjoying ourselfs outside in the garden :) These flowers are starting to witheres, but a few are still standing!

Candy socks

Sukkertøy sokkene mine er ferdige ;) Jeg fikk nok til et par barnesokker også. De var ment til Eirin, men passer til en 2-3 åring. Blir nok lagt i julegave kassen eller gjemt til en annen passende anledning. Har ikke bestemt meg ennå, men jeg hiver meg kanskje med på julemessa husflidslaget skal ha nærmere jul. Får se om jeg får lagd nok ting...

My candy socks are done ;) I had enough yarn for a pair of child socks too. They were meant for Eirin, but fits a 2-3 year old. I'll save them for a christmas present or another suitable occasion. I haven't decided yet, but I might sell some stuff at the christmas trade fair. I'll have to see how much I manage to make...

Sukkertøy sokker :) Jeg begynte egentlig på et par sidewinders i dette garnet, men da jeg hadde strikka tåa så jeg at de ble altfor lange = rekt opp. Gadd ikke begynne på nytt, så det blir et par standar sokker. Så jo ettehvert at det ville ha blitt et par fine Jaywalkers, men gidder ikke rekke opp en gang til...

Candy socks :) I started on a pair of sidewinders of this yarn, but when I had knitted the toe I saw that they become too long = frogged. I didn't bother to start over, so it will be a pait of standard socks. After knitting a while I saw that they would have become a nice pair of jaywalkers, but I don't want to frog again...
