FO :: Basket Weave Rib Socks
Hubby still need more socks and a new pair came off the needles today.
I joined Sezza's kal some weeks ago. I decided to knit her free pattern - Basket weave rib socks. which is a great pattern. It's easy to memorize and knits up fast. The socks have been done for over a week with only the toe grafting to do... But as you know, it's those little things that takes time ;)
Pattern: Basket Weave Rib Socks (free)
Yarn: 79 g Fabel #103
Needles: 2,5 mm

Gratitude Sunday
This week I'm joining Gratitude Sunday at Wooly Moss Roots
{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to reflect, to slow down, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes}
Throughout the week I've felt grateful for:
~ Staying up late and read
~ Listening to the heavy rain on the roof when going to sleep
~ Going shopping with mom, my sister and the kids. Including a stop at the local yarn store
~ Picking cloudberries
~ Working in the garden and eat the first zucchinis and sugar peas
~ Casting on a new project
~ Eirin's enthusiasm in the kitchen and to eat her yummy heart cakes
~ A sunday walk in the forest
~ Being part of the joy Endre felt when we found a tiny frog
~ And I'm most grateful for all the years we've had with my grandmother and that we went to see her a couple of times this week. Sadly she past away yesterday - 90 years old, but by letting the kids see her when she was sick has made the grief easier. They know why she died. And I think death is a part of life we should not hide from the kids...

I have enough yarn so I'll be casting on another pillow in black and white from the book soon.
Pattern: Love from Putefest
Yarn: Some old cotton from my stash.
Needles: 3 mm
Size: 50 cm x 50 cm
Started: June 12 2013

WIP :: Basket weave rib socks and a minion
Reading: I needed some light summer reading, so I picked up The Reading Group by Elizabeth Noble. I've just read a few pages, but I hope it's a good book.
Knitting & Crocheting: We've been working a lot in the garden the last week, so there haven't been much time for knitting. But I have knitted a little on hubby's socks and I've started to make a minion for the kids :)
The kids love the film and we're heading out to see Despicable Me 2 on Sunday :)
The Love pillow is also off the needles. I just have to sew in some buttons - so there will be a FO post soon.
And I just have to share what my mom has knitted for the kids.
Marius jackets. SO happy she made them. If I should have knitted one for each of them it would have taken me ages...

Macro Monday :: Forget-me-not
Macro Monday :: I heart macro
I love these little flowers!
There has been a few poping up here and there,
but this year after we dug away some weeds,
we have a big area with them in the garden.
I had to dig up some and plant them in one of my raised beds
so I can look at them from the deck :)
