It's been a while

Since I've been writing here... It was not planned, but it felt great with a short break from blogging.
So far this Summer has been a rainy one. I'm not lying if I tell you it has been raining for almost two weeks witout a break. But today the sun is shining and it looks like she's here to stay for a couple of days :) Here's a little of what we've been up to these last weeks :)



Knitting



Demolishing, building and painting - we've knocked down the wall underneat the stairs, made a floor were the stairs down to the cellar was and now we have a much bigger hall. And I have a wall filled with book shelves which I call my library :)



Harvesting - Borage flowers, sugar peas, chives, radish and lettuce



Cloudberry picking

Watching our squirrel kids grow. We haven't seen them for days now, and I'm a bit worried that a cat that has been sneaking around here has scared them away :(

I've knitted a few rows every now and then too, so I'll stop by to show you a pair of socks soon :)

3rd pair of monster pants and some painting.

I've knitted a new pair of monster pants for my cousin cormz's youngest. It was a quick knit, but sewing in all the ends, well, you know ;) Takes some time

Since I don't have a model in the right size, a doll have to do the use.
Pattern: My own, inspired by crankypantsknits pants.
Yarn: Mor Aase, 10o g black and 5o g in each shade of blue. Leftovers of black, red and white.
Needles: 3 mm.

And cormz, you'll have to give us some action photos ;)

My loom

Ungene og jeg er friske igjen, men ungene har maur i rumpa og er agalause etter å ha vært så lenge inne. Været er ikke på min side idag - vind og snø... Så det frister ikke å være ute. Så da ble det til at ungene hjalp meg å rydde på hobby rommet mitt. Så nå har jeg endelig fått plass til veven min :) Så nå er det bare tid og ro som mangler for at jeg skal lære meg å veve...

The kids and I are well again, but the kids have "ants in their pants" and can't sit still after being in for so long. The weather is not on my side today - wind and snow... So it doesn't tempt to go outside. So the kids had to help me tidy up in my craft room. And finally I have got space for my loom :) Now I just need the time and peace to learn how to weave...

Det fulgte med en pose med forskjellig veve utstyr. Noe ligger ennå i innpakninga. Aner ikke hva alt er for noe, så jeg må nok sette meg og lese i Den store vevboken en dag ;)

There was a bag with different loom "stuff". Some is still in the original packing. I have no clue what all these things are, so I have to sit down and read in The big book of weaving someday ;)

Da jeg rydda, dukka det opp en del glemte ting. For en del år siden malte jeg en del. Må vel bare inrømme med en gang at jeg kan ikke tegne, så disse tingene er malt med hjelp av diverse bøker. Dette brettet er malt for 6 år siden - var enklere å finne tid til slikt når man bare hadde en unge ;)

When I was decluttering, some forgotten things showed up. I used to paint several years ago. And I just have to say that I can't draw on my own, so these things have been painted with help from various books. I painted this tray 6 years ago - was a lot easier to find time for such when I only had one kid ;)

Jeg har endelig fått ermene inn sammen med bolen på jakken min! Så nå må jeg vel klare å få den ferdig før det blir for varmt å bruke den.

I've finally put the sleeves together with the body on my jacket! So now I have to get it off the eedles before it gets to hot for wearing it.
