Finally spring!

coltsfoot

Finally the spring has sprung here in the north too! This last week we've had temperatures up to 20C :) We have been enjoying ourselfs outdoors all day. Picking coltsfoots, taking out the summer toys and just enjoyed the sun! But the warm weather is not here to stay yet - the forcast for tomorrow is rain...

Because of the great weather and the fact that I'm spring cleaning ;), there has not been much kitting around here the last week. But I've got two packages with great yarn :) This beutiful ball is from BellaDonna, I was one of three lucky ones that got a surprise from her after commented on her blogiversary :)

And this is from Elizabeth in a yarn swap for mittens over at ravelry. I got wool yarn for the mittens and a beautiful skein with Fleece Artist :) The kids got one $ coin each and Hello kitty :)

  3. That is a sweet picture of the flowers. They look like what we call dandelions.

Is that pattern you show the "Bird in the Hand" mitten pattern?

  5. Pretty flowers.! I love the purple yarn! It's my favorite color and I find that I tend to pick purplish tones when buying yarn. I have to conciously remind myself that there other colors to knit and spin! LOL

  6. Ooo! I went back and followed the link to the mittens. I sat next to Anne from Blackberry Ridge at Knit Night on Friday. The woolen mill is just a town over in Mount Horeb. She is working on the most beautiful pair of socks that she says will be a pattern eventually. She called them her Winter Will Never End socks!

  10. You must be thrilled to see signs of spring finally. The rain isn't fun, but all that moisture will help everything grow quicker.

I love that yarn. What a beautiful color.
