Mooses and pussy willows

Moose

These two came out of nowhere when Endre and I was outside this morning. A great experience. We live close to a moose "trampling" (I'm not sure if this is the right word though... It's a track where mooses likes to go), so we see mooses a lot. But the one closest to us didn't seem afraid at all, so we could study it a long time before it trotted back into the woods :) I don't need to tell you what Endre has been talking about all day ;)

Pussy willows

Det meste av snøen vi fikk her om dagen har heldigvis smelta. Og gåsungene har endelig sprunget ut!

Most of the snow we got the other day has melted - fortunately. And the pussy willows has opened!

  1. For eit flott syn med elgane! Vi ser elg heimefrå òg, men ikkje _så_ nært.

Håpar de får ein topp 17.mai!

  2. How cool about the moose visit! That would be so, so cool. The closest I've ever been is when we saw moose tracks right outside our tent one morning (we never even saw the moose though!). Your pussy willow photo is GORGEOUS. Hang on for spring, it's coming! :)

  3. Great pictures! I love the Moose, they are so cute. We get deer and elk around here but we're too low for Moose and I've only seen them once in our mountains.

  7. Cool photos! That reminds me of my old state of Maine. We had moose and pussy willows there. There aren't any moose here in Wisconsin. I miss them!

  13. I love moose! I have only ever seen one once in Colorado - despite days of trailing round Newfoundland and New England looking for them!!
