Comfort food

comfort food

It's been a perfect fall day today :) The weather has been great. So Endre and I have been several hours outside raking leaves, picking up toys and feeding the birds.
And on a day like this we need some comfort food :)

This is salmon with potatoes, carrots and leek. Baked together in the oven. Mmmm, delicious!
What's your comfort food??

  1. AWWWWW!!! I am so envious of you!! This seems like it would be soooo good! Is this a common Norwegian food? I've never heard of baking potatoes and carrots and leeks with salmon! It sounds amazing! Comfort food to be is chicken and dumplings, or twice baked potatoes! Yum!

  3. Mmmmm! I like your comfort food! Can I come over and have some? Then you can come over and I will make some homemade chicken noodle soup--my grandma's recipe with homemade noodles. My other comfort food is (kind of odd) toast with sugar and hot milk. (My dad and grandpa both ate this in the evenings--I am thinking it is a Danish or Norwegian thing because my mom never liked it.)

  4. Yummm. This is a really good idea. Never tried it. My comfort foods are chicken noodle soup, chili, homemade bread, cookies... I could go on and on ;).

  5. A chichen noodle soup sounds good :)
