By the sea

DSCN3914

Yesterday we had this view most of the day.

DSCN3921

No one got a fish bigger than this... But the kids didn't care. The fun part is to catch one, not the size ;)

DSCN3923

Endre didn't had the patient to fish, so he looked for other treasures.

DSCN3924

A five armed sea star.

DSCN3930

Eirin catched a tiny fish too :)

DSCN3931

And someone got this - a ugly sea cucumber.

DSCN3939

More of Endre's treasures. Empty sea urchin shells.

DSCN3934

And in gap and holes there are some tiny little flowers growing. I'm not sure what flower this is...Maybe some of you know??

  1. Looks like you and the kids found all kinds of fun things by the seaside there. It's great that they are getting outdoors and experiencing nature. The joy of discovery is something we all find in childhood and that hopefully lasts throughout our lifetime..
I enjoy following your blog very much and I recently discovered it.

  2. What a fun day! How fun to live close to the sea. We are HOURS away from any coast :(. Oh well, plenty of lakes. I love the sea star and that sea cucumber is the ugliest thing I have ever seen!

  3. Beautiful! I like the rock moss ... and I remember when I caught little fish as a young'un, and how exciting it was!

  7. Love, love, love the ocean. I can't think of a better way to spend a day than how your family did. We have the same sea urchins in California. That seems funny. I've only heard of sea cucumbers though...They're ugly! But cool.

  8. JulieQue - It's a fjord called Malangen. We was at the place called Tennskjær.
You can zoom out from this map to see where in Norway it is :)
