It's been snowing since thursday - we got about 50 cm. But tonight and today it's been raining, so the snow got really sticky. So we made snowlantern which we put candles in this afternoon :) Cozy!

Pinner: 3 mm

I found these when I was going through my stash. I started these mittens last year at this time...
And when I had finished them this weekend and my oldest should try them on, I found out why I had put them away last year... They are very tight. I was thinking about giving these away for x-mas, but they'll be too small for the one inmind. But they are good enough for use here at home ;) So Erlend will have them, I'll try to stretch them a bit. They are knitted in superwash wool so they wont felt
Pattern: Pirate mittens
Yarn: 100g black and 100 g white Mor Aase
Needles: 3 mm

There's still several x-mas gifts to make, and here I've casted on for a bib.

  2. Well, the pirat mittens sure look great. I made a mini sock today with just a tiny bit of stranded knitting, and I even mangaed to make that tight! :o)
I love you candle in the snow picture, that's so nice. We'll be having rain tomorrow, which will wash away the rest of the snow.

  3. I love your pirate mittens! I have the yarn tucked away for a hat of the same pattern for hubby and best friend. Too bad they're too small for the intended giftee. I'm sure they would have loved them!

  4. The candles do look so cozy! We finally felt a little like winter today. It was gloomy all day, which is fun for a change. We even have a fire in the fireplace tonight.

Too bad about the pirate mittens. They're so cute. It seems like i always have trouble with tightness when I do stranded knitting.

  8. Åååå, så koselig med snølykter.. Her er snøen alt for tørr til slikt, og snart går den vel over til slaps.. :)
