On the needles :: Waffel socks

Joining Yarn Along :: WIP Wednesday :: Keep Calm Craft On
What's on your needles today?

Knitting: I'm having a break from mitten knitting and have casted on a pair of socks for the kids' advent calendar. This one is for Endre. I'm making them all three a pair of Blueberry Waffel socks.

Reading: I've been caught in the Downside Ghosts series by Stacia Kane the last week. I love urban fantasy and it's great to readabout something else than vampires and werewolves for a change ;) I'm reading book 3 - City of Ghosts at the moment

Chess Putnam has a lot on her plate. Mangled human corpses have started to show up on the streets of Downside, and Chess’s bosses at the Church of Real Truth have ordered her to team up with the ultra-powerful Black Squad agency to crack the grisly case.

Chess is under a binding spell that threatens death if she talks about the investigation, but the city’s most notorious crime boss—and Chess’s drug dealer—gets wind of her new assignment and insists on being kept informed. If that isn’t bad enough, a sinister street vendor appears to have information Chess needs. Only he’s not telling what he knows, or what it all has to do with the vast underground City of Eternity.

Now Chess will have to navigate killer wraiths, First Elders, and a lot of seriously nasty magic—all while coping with some not-so-small issues of her own. And the only man Chess can trust to help her through it all has every reason to want her dead.

Livingn my part of the world means the weather changes fast.
I took these two photos about 15 minutes apart.
It's been snowing alot the last couple of days and I have been shoveling snow until my arms hurt...
It's supposed to rain later in the week, but I hope not. I want the snow to stay - it makes the day so much lighter.

Now I am going to take a tour around blogland and see what you all are making, and later tonight I am heading out to meet Tove Fevang at one of my local yarn shops :)
For my norwegian readers - there will be a book giveaway tomorrow.
