North Iceland Mittens

North Iceland Mittens

Erlend wears out/felt his mittens in no time, so I casted on for a pair in Desember. I had meant to be done with them in a few days, but I knitted one and get bored... They really was a fast knit when I put my mind to it!

Pattern: North Iceland Mittens from Folk Mittens.
Yarn: Black and white Per Tryving pt5 & blue Viking of Norway SportsRagg.
Needles: 2,5 & 3 mm.

    What lovely mittens! I just love your work!

    How much sunlight do you have now? I'm just really interested in the idea of the sun disappearing and then making its reappearance triumphantly!

    Hi! I just thought I would introduce myself, as we're both in the Adventures in Lace KAL with Kate. I'm Jenny from Sweden, and I've been following Kate's blog since she started it. I love to knit, and right now I'm sort of obsessed with lace. I also got two mitten books for Christmas, Selbuvotter and the Rauma Selbustrick pamphlet. So I'm planning on knitting a lot of gloves and mittens in the future, I just have to get the yarn I've bought for it first (it's in the mail from the States). I'm really looking forward to the lace KAL, and it will be so much fun to get to know all of the participants!

    Hello! I'm participating in Kate's lace KAL and wanted to stop by to say hello. I'm so impressed with your mittens-- they are gorgeous! I haven't done much Fair Isle and have never knit mittens, only fingerless gloves. I love the combination of colors you chose for the mittens.
