We can buy a bread called Polarbrød in the stores here, and it's rather good. So when I came across a recipe the other day, I had to bake some :)
100 g oatmeal or rolled oats - I use rolled oats
300 g wheat wholemeal - not sure if this is the right term..., but it's a bit coarse flour than plain wheat
600 g plain wheat flour
50 g sugar
50 g yeast or one bag of dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
2,5 dl water
3 dl milk (any type you prefer)
1 dl oil
Make a dough and let it rise for about 1 hour.
You can make the dough as fine or coarse as you like. Add some seeds, make it with rye or other flour types.
Knead it and make about 24 pieces. Roll them out so they are about 5 mm thick.
Make small dots with a fork and bake in a oven at 225 C for about 8 minutes.
Taste so good with butter and brown cheese.
