My little sister got confirmated on Sunday. It was warm and great weather.
Here she is in a dress called kystdrakten (coast dress), which my mum has embroidered and sewn! It's not a bunad, but more a festive costume. It's made from how people made they're clothes along the coast in the earlier days. It has flowers that grow along the coast and the tern (which is a common bird here) on the back of the dress.
The dinner after was heldt in "Nordavindshagen" and among other thing there's the book collection of a local poet in the building. And there's a poem everywhere...on the floor, the walls, the curtains and even on the toilet :)
Eirin is waiting for dinner. I didn't get any pictures of Erlend since he spent most of the time together with his dad and uncle in the kitchen - they heated the dinner.
Endre together with grandma (my mum). In the back you can see the curtains with the poems.
Cake is good :) Hubby is a bad photographer...just the half of me in the picture ;)
Så flinke dere er som husket å ta bilder!
ReplyDeleteEneste bildene jeg fikk tatt er når de kom ut fra kirka!
